word of the day

Hey guys, long time no type. Sorry about that.

Discipline.

Okay, as a general rule, we as a society do not know discipline. We hear the word and tend ot think of when our parents or teachers got on to us when we were kids. I'm talking about the kind of discipline that helps us in our thousands of decisions throughout the day. It tells us that we need to have our quiet time even though we have run out of time in the day and we are worn out and would rather just go to bed. It tells us that we need to do the speed limit even though we are late for work. It tells us that we need to get out of bed even though we didn't go to bed until 3 am. It tells us that we don't need that do-nut even though they smell really good.

I think you know what I'm talking about. Something that we do now that we are adults.

Personally, I am entering a season where discipline is calling my name, and those close to me are on my heart. I feel like challenging people I would otherwise leave alone for the sake of wanting everyone around me to feel good about themselves. I can no longer stand still. I see the clouds in the distance and know that if I don't move now, I will get caught up in the storm. The winds of change are blowing and I wan to be progressive. I want to be pro-active instead of reactive. I want to be ahead of the wave.

I want the Lord to be proud of me (us) because I (we) not only heard His prompting, but responded to His voice.

The weather is changing, and we had better get prepared. I can't wait to share with you guys Sunday night at NRH.
